today i expressed opinions about hockey on the radio, despite the fact that i know so little about hockey that i could not even name three players on the toronto maple leafs.

Do you really mean you were on the radio, or you were talking about the concept of "hockey on the radio"? Your sentence structure, which is, quite seriously, one of the many highlights of this site, leaves it open to interpretation.
i did, in fact, express these opinions on the radio. about hockey. it could have (and probably should have!) been worded better.
this makes you similar to most sportscasters, I figure.
