tuesday july 3

today i watched the film saturday night fever for the first time, and was shocked to discover that it was not the feel-good dancing story that the soundtrack had suggested, but rather one filled with depressing twists and tragedy. though, admittedly, the dancing did still make me feel pretty good.

That movie is intense. With all the suicide subplots and whatnot.

Seriously, Frank was so crazy. In probably less than 8 hours he manages to win a dance contest, make a random strong stand on a racial issue, try to rape his dance partner whom he loves, let another girl be gang banged by all of his friends, even though she loves him, lose his friend to a sorta suicide, and get back the girl he tried to rape. Seriously, WHOA.

I can't handle you Frank!!!

Yes, I should have put spoiler alert, but something tells me that no one really cares. And, why did I think he was Frank? Was that his brother? Weird. Anyway, Frank suits him.
